Kimberly Martin, DMD
Dr. Kimberly Martin at University Family Dental is a General Dentist serving patients of all ages. Dr. Martin’s key focus is to create an atmosphere that is comfortable, reassuring and, most importantly, patient-oriented.
Kimberly Martin, DMD is originally from Denver, Colorado and was raised in Houston, Texas. Dr. Martin attended the University of Oklahoma and studied abroad at Imperial College of London Science and Math University. She went on to graduate with High Honors from the University of Texas Medical Branch with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. Dr. Martin then practiced as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist and Adult Rehabilitation Therapist specializing in feeding and oral-motor dysfunction for 5 years before choosing to attend dental school.
Dr. Martin graduated from the University Of Alabama School Of Dentistry in 2002. She has lived and worked in Las Cruces as a General Dentist since 2003.
Dr. Martin is a wife, mother, professional and volunteer. Her hobbies include any activity involving her children, Jackson and Macy, and her husband, Dr. Scot Martin. She enjoys providing service for the community through volunteerism and provides free dental education for children as often as possible. Her diverse training and sincere care for her patients lends itself to promoting effective oral health, while educating and encouraging patients in a manner that everyone can understand.
David Manzanares, DDS
Dr. David Manzanares is an Associate Dentist at University Family Dental. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in 2009. He is a Cum Laude graduate of the University of New Mexico, 2005, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and was a UNM Regent Scholar. In addition to becoming a member of several Honor Societies and the UNM Dean’s List, he is also a Graduate of the Dale Carnegie Generation Next Program, and was a Los Alamos Employee’s Scholarship Recipient. At Los Alamos National Laboratory, he worked as an Undergraduate Technical Student with the Advanced Diagnostics and Instrumentation Group in the Chemistry Division.
Dr. Manzanares serves as a member and officer of the Southwest District Dental Society, member of American and New Mexico Dental Associations (NMDA), representative of the NMDA House of Delegates and Governmental Affairs Committee, member of the Academy of General Dentistry, and Advisor to the NMSU Pre-Dental Organization.
The son of dentist, Dr. Robert Manzanares and mother, Nancy, David is originally from Espanola, New Mexico. He has two brothers, both planning to become dentists within the next few years.
